Experienced Sales Manager – Exhibitions & Events Industry
OBJECTIVES
Profex is expanding its commercial focus and seeking a driven and results-oriented Sales Manager to support business development, customer acquisition, and revenue generation across its events and services. The Sales Manager will play a key role in executing sales strategies, managing client relationships, and contributing to the overall success of exhibitions, conferences, and commercial partnerships. This role requires initiative, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to achieving sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Achieve personal sales targets, including exhibition space, sponsorship packages, advertising, and additional services;
- Actively acquire new clients and maintain relationships with existing partners (exhibitors, sponsors, delegates, visitors);
- Conduct outbound calls, in-person and online meetings, email campaigns, and follow-ups with local and international databases;
- Maintain and update the CRM system with accurate client data and communications;
- Assist in preparing and updating sales materials such as proposals, rate cards, booking forms, and presentations.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity; gather client feedback to improve offerings;
- Contribute to client loyalty initiatives and support repeat sales (rebooking) strategies
- Track payment deadlines and assist in ensuring timely collections;
- Collaborate with partner agents and assist in day-to-day communication and coordination;
- Provide content for sales-related materials (website updates, brochures, post-show reports, etc.);
- Support pre-event and onsite activities, including client coordination and service quality control;
- Submit weekly and monthly work reports and track progress against KPIs;
- Coordinate with internal departments (Marketing, PR, Tech, Finance, Database) to ensure smooth project delivery;
- Assist in visitor acquisition and promotional campaigns in collaboration with the marketing and PR teams;
- Execute tasks assigned by the Sales Director and support the overall growth of the commercial department.
TEAM STRUCTURE AND REPORTING
- The Sales Manager will report directly to the Sales Director and work closely with the Marketing teams.
- The role requires reliability, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills to contribute to project success and commercial performance.

- Minimum 3 years of experience in sales or business development, ideally in B2B events, exhibitions, or conferences;
- University degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field;
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets;
- Familiarity with CRM systems and digital sales tools;
- Fluency in Azerbaijani, Russian, and English (spoken and written);
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills;
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines;
- Proactive attitude, discipline, and a commitment to high performance.
